Billy Vinette

Billy Vinette est professeur adjoint à la Faculté des sciences infirmières de l'Université de Montréal. Ses travaux visent à améliorer la qualité, la sécurité, l’équité et la pertinence culturelle des soins offerts aux personnes touchées par un cancer, en optimisant les pratiques professionnelles des infirmières en oncologie. Infirmier clinicien et ancien conseiller-cadre en cancérologie à l'Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont, il détient un doctorat en sciences infirmières de l'Université de Montréal (2025). Sa thèse sur l'accompagnement numérique à l'autogestion du cannabis en oncologie a été honorée par une inscription sur la liste d'honneur du recteur. Il a réalisé un postdoctorat à l'Université McGill portant sur la mobilisation des connaissances et la science de la mise en oeuvre (Implementation Science). Fort d'une riche expérience professionnelle en recherche (CHUM, UdeM, McGill), il combine une expertise en santé numérique, en oncologie psychosociale et en pédagogie des sciences de la santé. Très impliqué, il est trésorier de l’Association canadienne des infirmières en oncologie (CANO-ACIO) et éditeur associé pour le Canadian Journal of Medical Education. Ses contributions d'excellence ont été récompensées par de nombreuses distinctions, dont de prestigieuses bourses des IRSC et du FRQS.
