Kim Lavoie

Dre Lavoie est Professeure et titulaire de la Chaire de recherche du Canada (niveau 1) en médecine comportementale au Département de psychologie à l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) et Co-directrice du Centre de médecine comportementale de Montréal (CMCM) au CIUSSS-NIM, Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal. Elle est Présidente du Réseau canadien pour la promotion et le changement des comportements de santé (CAN-Change) et Co-responsable du International Behavioral Trials Network (IBTN).

De manière générale, mes travaux de recherche portent sur trois domaines : 1) L'impact du stress psychologique (par exemple, dépression, anxiété) et des facteurs liés au mode de vie (alimentation, exercice, tabagisme, observance) sur le développement et la progression des maladies chroniques (par exemple, maladies cardiovasculaires, asthme, MPOC, obésité); 2) Les mécanismes psychophysiologiques et comportementaux qui relient le stress psychologique aux maladies; et 3) La médecine comportementale (par exemple, les interventions comportementales pour les maladies chroniques, dont la communication motivationnelle et la thérapie cognitivo-comportementale).
