You Snooze, You Don’t Lose: A Scoping Review of Sleep Extension Studies

Guido Simonelli, PhD, CIUSSS NIM

Guido Simonelli’s research focuses on environmental disruptors of sleep, and sleep health broadly. Before joining CEAMS he was principal investigator in the Behavioral Biology Branch at the Walter Reed Army Institute of research and a research fellow with the National Research Council at the National Academies (USA). He received his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires and then worked as a research trainee in the Sleep Epidemiology Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. His areas of expertise include sleep and the built environment, sleep in low-resource settings, and sleep in relation to human performance, mental health, and psychosocial factors
